DJ Meli Mel is female DJ and Musical Artist from Sacramento CA. Music was a part of her life since her young age, when she was a 10 years old girl. She have been playing piano in middle school for 2 years. She found her passion and love towards being a DJ when she was a DJ for school rally in high school. After that school rally, she continued being a DJ for house parties in high school life. She enjoyed rocking the crown being the Dj and seeing everyone enjoy the music inspired and motivated her to be better and improve her skills. She bought a laptop, a dj mixer and computer speakers to practice more and start DJing by herself. Because Meli Mel is a female DJ and because there are few female djs in the area, she was quickly getting booked and her name was all over the Sacramento City after she introduced herself on social media.

Who knows what I would be doing if I wasn’t in the industry probably in a office job doing the whole 9-5

Once I touched a dj mixer I couldn’t stop and the way I was getting booked weekly and seen the money coming in I was like wow is this really a career and just kept pushing

  • In what way do you aim to make a difference?

There’s not a lot of female DJs out there or there’s alot of females afraid in the music industry and I want to motivate females to keep pushing for what they dream of and never give up

  • What’s the most trouble you’ve ever gotten into?

Most trouble I’ve ever got into was getting a damn DUI I was in the holding tank for 12 hours lol never again

As soon as I hit the Stage I’m not thinking about anything but the music and the crowd, I start off with a lot of 2000s hiphop to get the crowd going I like when it’s like “damn I haven’t heard this in so long” or “ooooo this my songgg”
