804Quis(His music name) is the youngest of four children. When his parents divorced he lived with his mother and was allowed to stay with his father as much as he wanted.
The neighborhood he grew up in had many children that played football and dreams of being in the NFL. As he grew up and became more mature, he began having real life experiences that molded him to the man he is today. Real life experiences like losing friends, his boys getting locked up, carrying pistols, learning the streets. He said, “But it is all in how life went. It wasn’t great but I am blessed.”
When he was young he never thought of being a singer or rapper. His inspiration and motivation for singing came after spending time with a hard-working person very passionate about their own music. In 9th grade 804Quis spent a lot of his time with an artist and one day saw a microphone and laptop set up for recording. He was inspired to try creating music first hand so he tried to put some melodies together. He couldn’t come up with lyrics nor knew how to sing. He played several beats to see how which one went along with his voice. This was the day that made the rapper and singer who we now know as 804Quis. He said, “I saw he got a mic and a laptop on the kitchen table. So me being me, I wanted to try it out, cause I feel if I put my mind to it I can do anything. So I started playing a beat for me, I couldn’t freestyle at the time. I just started hitting melodies on the beat, making different sounds, seeing how my voice sound and fell in love with the mic ever since. After that, I started putting my mind into coming up with some lyrics and trying that out. As time went on, I found my sound and got better.”
804Quis released “How Far I Go” and “Lies” in 2021. If 804 Quis released songs consistently like this, he would have a more successful career. The Artist is working to improve his consistency and deliver unique work every time. He said “My recent release was “How Far I Go” the second song I dropped in 2021. My first release was “Lies” which had the best marketing I ever had on a track, and got me my first 11K views. “How Far I Go” was made in 2018 that is what a lot of people don’t know. I have been holding onto it for 3 years.”
