EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW WITH WALKER EXTREME

What’s your background? What got you into rap music?

Background: Music has been a part of my life for almost the whole time I’ve been alive, by playing the piano and other instruments at a young age to listening to my favorite artist and crafting catchy songs that I put out on all music platforms. Growing up in Santa Monica, I was always surrounded by mentors that pushed me to the limits rapping wise to focus on it full time with the major potential recognized by others.

If it wasn’t for music, where would you be now?

If it wasn’t for music being a major aspect in my daily life, I could definitely imagine myself still getting in trouble, skipping school, and partying every weekend with friends.

How did you come to realise that music was the way forward for you?

I came to realize music was the way forward for me when I had constant major music platforms wondering if I was cooking up any new music or when the buzz started going off when DM’s on Instagram were blowing up that kept waking me up in the middle of the night that my fans rave about my latest tracks telling me I got what it takes to be up on the top eventually. Getting booked for a show at a venue, and my close friends rapping every lyric off my album definitely made the ambition to keep on going.

If you had to sacrifice one skill, which would you least like to let go, and why?

If I had to sacrifice one skill, it would probably have to be time management since I am so consistent dropping new songs a couple times a month or hitting the studio weekly which makes me realize that I can actually just chill out and prioritize putting family first more or looking out for my day ones.

In what way do you aim to make a difference?

I most definitely aim to make a difference in the music industry, by using creative flashy rhymes that no one has ever quite heard before, or by just being the best version of myself that I could possibly be no matter what. By coming up with a different melodic sound and setting neon fashion trends to match my name you can see I’m just focused on staying in my own lane and not worried about what anyone has to say.

Who’s your fashion icon, and why?

My fashion icon that I have always looked up to would most definitely have to be Playboi Carti for setting the tone modeling for high end clothing brands and rocking designer drip that most people have never seen or can even get their hands on. Having my song “Vlone Drip” I definitely looked up to Carti’s Vlone collaboration having a vision of one day for a Walker Extreme Vlone collaboration to set new trends fashion wise to represent neon world.

What’s the most trouble you’ve ever gotten into?

Reflecting on my life, the most trouble I have ever gotten into was definitely when I scammed tons of checks of over $50,000 dollars in which I had to either face a prison sentence or attend a year long program to remove the background of illegal activity. Luckily, I have not been caught by the law by riding around with straps or ammunition.

Where is your career heading? What’s the vision?

I’ve noticed that I have definitely been on the come up rapping wise, by the album blowing up and multiple labels reaching out interested to sign plus being booked for shows at venues. Lots of new content on the way, plus new album loading. I see the glow up for sure taking place currently.

How would you describe your style of music?

My style of music is a type of relief, that will hype you up and automatically set you in a good mood for the rest of the day. Very melodic tones and outstanding phrases are presented in each of my songs.

How do you put words to paper? What’s your creative process like?

To be fair, it’s extremely easy for me to glide through an album in one sitting or write a song within a matter of ten minutes start to finish. I usually just catch a vibe of ideas and all the bars start flowing.

When it comes to performing, what’s your style?

When it comes to performing, I one hundred percent get the whole crowd engaged of rage and excitement and just naturally flow to the songs blasting on the speakers from the DJ.

If you could perform anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?

If I could ever perform anywhere in the world, it would have to be Madison Square Garden arena in New York with sold out tickets or Rolling Loud in Los Angeles where I am originally from.

What’s your favourite project so far, and why?

My favorite project so far has to be “After Hours Lost Files” which drops in the next few days. The whole album will definitely amaze the fans and they will notice the evolution from my previous tracks since I keep improving rapping wise with every song.

How do you see your sound evolving in the next couple of years?

Within the next couple of years, I see my sound evolving to DJ’s spinning my tracks worldwide in clubs or even on the big radio stations. The more I reflect on my lyrical flow in which I glide through sensational catchy rhymes easily, I can see my sound evolving to just pulling up to the studio with nothing written and just freestyle to where it is just second nature to me. I definitely wanna collaborate with some of my favorite artist and make hits that are certified.
