The Untold Story of Staying Real in a World Obsessed with Fame
Growing up wasn’t just a journey—it was a lesson in survival. My life in Glyndale County, Brunswick, GA, was a mix of highs and lows. Money was always there, but the wisdom I gained from Lil Dann, Lil Baby, and Dapper D—Lil Dann’s dad—was priceless.
- Never show too much.
- Don’t overshare your hand.
- When people know you have money, they’ll switch up on you.
So, I mastered the art of staying low-key. Instead of flexing on social media, I played basketball, stayed in shape, and focused on personal growth. Whenever I did post money, it was the same bread over and over—to keep people guessing. I’d always tell people I had no money, just to see who was there for me versus who was trying to use me.
From Ghostwriting to the Shadows of Fame
Music has always been in my blood. Lil Baby pushed me to rap about my lifestyle. He saw the potential. But I never made it to the studio. Instead, I chose a path most wouldn’t dare to take: ghostwriting.
I penned tracks for Lil Baby, Lil Dann, 42 Dugg, and countless others in the CBFW roster. Yet, I never took credit. I hated the spotlight. For me, it wasn’t about the fame—it was about the art. My cousins were my only friends, my safe space in a world full of clout-chasers.
Even today, my biggest success is hidden behind the names of others. I don’t need the validation of being in the limelight. My words, my work, and my values speak louder than any recognition ever could.
Fame is a Trap—Popularity is a Choice
People often mistake popularity for fame. Let me set the record straight:
I don’t want to be famous. I’ll never be famous.
That’s why I hide my face. Fame makes you a target. It turns you into an object of worship instead of a person to respect. I want neither. I’ve got friends in the industry and friends outside of it. But here’s the thing: followers don’t mean anything.
The real ones—those without clout—treat me like I still have 0 followers. They see me, not some persona. And that’s exactly how I like it.
Money Over Fame, Always
While the world chases fame, I chase purpose. I’ve built a life where brand deals keep the money rolling in, but my circle remains tight. Money is better than fame, and respect is better than both.
I’ve learned to stay real, stay grounded, and stay focused. Fame might light up the sky for a moment, but authenticity keeps the fire burning forever.
A Message for You
As the holidays approach, I want to remind everyone:
- Stay true to who you are.
- Don’t let the world define your worth.
- Value the people who value you.
