With his remix of ‘No More Parties,’ Pittsburgh rapper Reese Youngn surpasses 1 million views on YouTube.

Reese Youngn has been generating hype for years, and now the rapper from Homewood is finally breaking out.

The video for “No More Parties” Remix (The Let Out), which was uploaded to YouTube on March 16 and quickly reached one million views, is the catalyst. The Coi Leray remix has received over 1.365 million views, and it’s easy to see why. Young Reese is tangled up in this one, speeding through Pittsburgh in a red Dodge Charger flashing 100s after his girlfriend says she’s had enough of parties. His delivery is a one-of-a-kind combination of wild, choppy, and frenetic. As one commenter put it, he says something along the lines of  “vRRrRrRrRrRrRrrrrtTRrtRrtrRrOOOOOOOOOOooooooopoooo.”

The track was engineered by Matthew Arvay, with a video shot by Treeburke, who, it appears, dared to get in the Charger with him.

Tyreese Maleek El, 22, began rapping at the age of nine, influenced by artists such as Tupac Shakur, Biggie Smalls, Yo Gotti, Jay Z, and Andre 3000, and joined the local music group FTR (FullTimeReal). “Happy to have been one of the bits that made Reese Youngn blow up with his ‘No More Parties’ remix,” Taylor Maglin, the Daily Loud founder and manager of the late Jimmy Wopo, wrote on Facebook on Sunday. Since Wopo, Pittsburgh hasn’t had this much traction. It’s really incredible to see it again.” Keep an eye out for the YouTube comments, which are in response to Youngn’s euphoria and gravelly delivery:

“Please say sorry to whoever caused him this pain; he is about to die.”

“All he needs is a cough drop, and this song is done.”

“On that Krusty Krab Pizza episode, he sounded like Spongebob.”

“When the beat gets heavy, but you’ve got the newest COVID-19 strain.”

“Therapist: The best way to get rid of your pain is to cry. Reese youngn, grab my beer.”
